U.S.-China polices changed a lot this year, it will impact the legal, economic, and daily life in all the aspects. Please join us this event, Professor Tim Webster will outline the Trump Administration's legal response to China, and how US policy towards China might change under a Biden Administration. Shaoming Cheng will make his comments from a Chinese American perspective.


Guest Speaker: Professor Tim Webster

Tim Webster is a law professor at Western New England University. Previously he was Professor of Transnational Law and Director of Asian Legal Studies at Case Western Reserve University. During his tenure at Case, Professor Webster -- along with colleagues from Southwest University of Political Science and Law -- founded the Joint Program in International Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution. This is the first joint degree program that the Chinese government recognized with a U.S. law school. He has published widely, presented his research in four languages on four continents, and received awards for his teaching, research, and service.

Mr. Shaoming ChenShaoming Chen is the managing partner at the Law Firm TAIHETAI holds a Doctor's Degree in International Public Affairs, a Juris Doctor's Degree from Texas University, and a Bachelor's Degree from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law.

Miss Xiaoyu Shi is a Lecture at the School of International Law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law. She holds an S.J.D from the Case Western Reserve University Law School.


Open Introduction: Hong Zhang


Miss Hong Zhang is the secretary-general of the Alumni Association of the Southwest University of Political Science and Law U.S. She graduated from the School of International and Public Affairs from Columbia University, she also holds maters of Laws both from China and the United States.
